Four Southern plantation inns that best capture the feeling of the antebellum South are described. They are the Monmouth Plantation of Natchez, MS, the 1810 West Inn of Thomson, GA, the Nottoway Plantation Home of White Castle, LA, and the Madewood Plantation House of Napoleonville, LA.

The Maine event

One of the great things about Maine is that it has the best tasting lobster anywhere. Lobsters are plentiful in Maine because of the many inlets and they grow larger there because of the cold water. The quest for the best lobster dinner along the Maine coast is described.
