Article Abstract:

Dick Woit once played for the Detroit Lions, but retired from football after a head injury. In 1956 he began running a fitness class out of a Chicago YMCA branch. There, he trained professional athletes and others with a grueling fitness regime of his own design. A man who broke his neck in a high school wrestling match credits Woit with helping him walk again.

Installing Sue, a 13-ft-high Tyrannosaurus rex, in the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, IL, will attract many visitors, according to John McCarter, the museum's Pres and CEO. He feels that the additional visitor numbers will give the museum the financial resources to fulfill its mission.

Article Abstract:

Pete Larson's Black Hills Institute excavated Sue, named after a member of the team who found her, in 1990. The remains of the largest, most complete T.Rex ever unearthed were sold at auction to Chicago's Field Museum of Natural History. The court battle over the fossils is detailed.
