Article Abstract:

The National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland are discussed. A history of the institute is given through the stories of patients with rare diseases who are willing to give their bodies to research. Focus is on the Clinical Center, where most patients are routed regardless of their disease. The method in which these patients come to the center and what happens after they get there is presented.

Article Abstract:

There are roughly 275 species of birds that live or migrate annually to Washington, providing beautiful sights and sounds. Habitat loss are one of the problems that birds face in Washington. Examples of the exquisite birds are the Scarlet Tanager, Northern Parula and the Blue Jay.
