In the crosshairs: a close look at scope reticles

Reticles are the aiming references that shooters see when they look through a telescopic sight. The most common reticles are called crosshairs since they are made from human hair. However, other natural materials, such as spider web, fine wire, metallic foil and optical glass can be used.
