Article Abstract:

An analysis of 191 Chicago suburbs is undertaken to evaluate their performance in the three important areas of public health, environment, and safety. Profiles of five top healthy communities and five low-ranked unhealthy ones are also presented, with solutions suggested for some very serious, prevailing problems.
