Shotgun patterning determines the degree of choke of a gun and where it shoots with a certain load. It also helps in deciding the proper combination of choke and load for a particular target and distance. A wide sheet of paper is a necessity in patterning shotshells.

My grandmother's gun

Article Abstract:

McCormick was a young woman who lived along the Big Blackfoot River keeping her Winchester Model 1894 in .25-35 Win which had been handed down through her family. The rifle was checked by gunsmith Doug Wells who found out that it has been altered.
