Dog days

Article Abstract:

Dog fish are the most widely distributed salmon species and are not quite appreciated by anglers. They are ugly, have sharp teeth that make unhooking them a precarious job and catching them is not much fun. However, they relieve the blues of catchless Dog Days.

Bears by the sea

Article Abstract:

An Alaskan hunter takes pride in having hunted black bears along the beaches of Southeast Alaska. Aside from the pleasures that come with hunting, the place offers excellent views of mountains and seas alongside a lush cover of cedar, fir and spruce trees.

T he intricacies involved in planning an adventure sport like duck hunting, fishing or hiking in Alaska's wilderness are discussed. Most of these sports require the visitors to fly down to the location which itself is an adventure of sorts.
