Wild summer salads: cut loose from winter whites with a tossed salad of spring greens

Article Abstract:

Colorful, salad menus are welcomed by Alaskans after a long, drab winter. Wild greens, such as fireweed, dandelions, pigweed, wild spinach and willow leaves, need to be picked as soon as they are ready and before their plants blossom.
