Article Abstract:

US government intends to expand the reserves into federal waters around the Channel Islands after the California Fish and Game Commission (FCG) voted to establish 12 non contiguous Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) among the islands making 10 of the MPAs off-limits to both recreational and commercial fishing. Twelve alternative fishing spots in Channel Islands are described.
