Bringing mom home

Article Abstract:

A woman recounts the experience of realizing that her aging and widowed mother could no longer live independently. Her mother was first moved to an assisted-living facility, and then turned to hospitalization when she became depressed and confused. Eventually she was moved to an assisted-living facility closer to her daughter's home and with more services. The process has taken an emotional toll on both mother and daughter.
