An island apart

Article Abstract:

The Adkinson and Evanson families are the only inhabitants of the Hinchinbrook Island in Prince William Sound. Family members claim that they have the best of both worlds, since they enjoy the fruits of nature but can also easily communicate with the outside world.

George O'Leary has been delivering fuel to homes and businesses along the Steese Highway for 40 years. He is sometimes on the job for eight to 12 hours without food or rest and rarely goes on holiday.
