A journey to Cat Island in the Bahamas is described. With small boats called mailboats as the only connection to the outside world, the island remains mostly isolated. Witchcraft and occupation of the islanders are discussed. Rare bird species found in Cat Island are described.

Article Abstract:

The Four Seasons Resort in Nevis is instrumental in the movement of Nevisians to secede itself from St. Kitts. The resort has generated more income for the island through the tourist industry and employs local staff. Nevisians feel that they can now function independently.
