Albert narrates how he caught the 78-pound striped bass from a New Jersey jetty during a Nor'easter back in 1982 and loomed in the magazine and newspaper articles. He said that money, friends and family members were turned against him, and it was actually felt by the people that he never caught it.

The American Striper Assn has created a new striped bass fishing tournament circuit in the Mid-Atlantic and New England states. The 2001 Mercury Tournament Trail began in May and ran well into fall. The tournaments offer lucrative prize packages to participants in five divisions.
