The main attraction of the NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits is the chance it gives us to stand together as Freedom's 2nd Army, a proud assembly of Americans who love to shoot, hunt, collect guns and most importantly safeguard our constitutional rights to own and use firearms. It is an opportunity for gun owners to reaffirm principles, to enrich chosen lifestyles and to fortify their collective will.

Winchester's First self-loading rifles

Article Abstract:

Winchester's first semi-automatic rifles served in the trenches of World War I, faced big and dangerous game, and set the stage for modern autoloaders. The Winchester Company promoted the model 1907 within the domestic market as an ideal long arm for police and plant security forces during 1917 and 1918.

The end of an era
