Article Abstract:
International and domestic tourism is increasingly being affected by the popularity of theme parks. The seeming perfection of theme parks has resulted in the surge of visitors who can experience the attractions of a region without leaving the relative safety of a park. State advertising budgets for promoting tourism have also been cut. However, these staged or choreographed venues will hopefully not replace the experience and adventure offered by real travel.

Article Abstract:
The influence of Colorado's traveler information center (TIC) on the visit duration and expenditure of tourists was investigated. The results showed that the TIC was able to increase visit duration by as much as 2.2 days. In addition, the TIC was also able to increase tourist expenditure in the state by an estimated $1,026,000. The income groups who were most affected by the TIC were in the middle and high income level.

The results of a study examining cultural differences between Asian and Western tourists' perceptions of relational quality service provided by guest-contact employees are presented. The key factor in determining the Asian customers' service-encounter evaluation is quality of interpersonal relationships, while Western customers placed emphasis on goal completion, efficiency, and time savings
