Tim Hortons is a company that has continually re-invented itself to meet consumer needs. Its strategy is obviously working as evidenced by its chain-wide sales of $1.6 billion, up from around $1.3 billion in 1998. Its success is built on founder Ron Joyce's philosophy that the company is partners with its franchisees. Thus, it supports its franchisees and empowers them to run their operation as if it were their own business.
