Charitable trust management has benefits unavailable through compulsory competitive tendering. The trust is an independent body that can safeguard consumer and local authority interests. A range of trustee expertise may be available and trust status enables funding from a variety of sources. The Arts Council has accepted charitable trusts as a possible management option.
