The champagne sales have topped in the year 1996 at 11,408,454 liters and started to slide and again has picked up to reach 10,168,065 liters in 2002. The champagne drinking is not restricted to special occasions anymore, says the restaurateurs who are reporting increasing orders by glass by even casual diners.
