It was hard to raise financial support for the Premier League Hall of Fame project, according to United Attractions Ltd Deputy Chief Executive Gary Trowsdale. The project did not really become viable until United News and Media, of which United Attractions is a wholly-owned subsidiary, became involved. United Attractions Marketing Manager Glen Furrie states that the Hall of Fame is designed to attract people who have already become accustomed to purchasing themed and entertainment-based attraction.

Leisure industry company Prime Resorts chief executive Nick Hall is confident that its newly-acquired entertainment organization Camelot can be expanded. Prime Resorts has invested approximately one million pounds sterling into Camelot since Jul 1998. Camelot is a family attraction that will eventually provide all-year-round entertainment for between 550,000 and 580,000 visitors per annum.
