Article Abstract:

There are differing views with regard to the topic of chicken meat consumption in Canada. NPD Canada says that consumers are eating less chicken, while the Canadian Poultry and Egg Processing Council believes that chicken consumption continues to grow at less than 1%. Eater occasions represent 13% in casual dining, with growth of about 6%.

Article Abstract:

The chicken consumption in Canada has surpassed that of beef at 31.5% of all meat consumed in 2002 and growing at a steady pace. The white meat of the chicken is preferred over more flavorful dark meat, this consumption trend is being discussed.
