Review of the tourist industry in england is presented. Tourism is less popular, with overall receipts falling by 1.6% between 1997-1998. About 6% of jobs in England are linked to the tourist industry. The domestic tourist trade is suffering but it is hoped the 6 billion pounds sterling investment for 2000 will rejuvenate interest, particularly in attractions in London, England.

A review of the tourist industry in China is presented. Tourism was expected to achieve earnings of US$ 14 billion by 2000 but by 1999 the figures had already been overtaken. In 1998-99 the most visitors came from either, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and Russia. China is the most popular destination in the Asia-Pacific region.

A review of the tourist industry in Romania is presented. To succeed the tourist industry needs more investment. Over 3 million visitors travelled to Romania in 1999, with the most visitors travelling from the Republic of Moldova and Hungary. Some 5.1% of employment in Romania is linked to the tourist trade.
