The third age

Article Abstract:

Older people have varied tastes and needs in terms of leisure and sports facilities, but this is an attractive and growing market, with older people's ability to use facilities in off-peak hours an advantage for providers of leisure and sports opportunities. There are significant medical benefits for older people taking up sports, and the involvement of physicians is important. Popular sports for people over 60 include walking, swimming and golf, and providers need to consider issues such as pricing, access and mobility.
