Andrew Plisnier of the Franck Partnership says he realised when he was 30 that he had to get a job. He then began working for a late night London drinking club where he was involved in bar work. He opened his first concept, the Bar Escoba tapas bar, in 1986 before launching Belgo with partner Denis Blais in 1992. His latest venture, Schnecke, is a North European pizzeria which provides regional home cooking at reasonable prices.

Valhalla unveiled

Article Abstract:

Some 1.5 million pounds sterling was spent on the construction of the new Valhalla ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Blackpool, England. Park Director Nick Thompson points out the ride includes many special effects.
