A further David Lloyd health club has recently been opened, with 4,000 sq ft devoted totally to health and beauty. Allan Wheway has the task of leasing the space, known as Sanctuary Spa, following the acquisition of The Sanctuary women-only health club. Day spas are a major growth area in the United States and Wheway believes there is huge potential in the UK for the sector. He aims to achieve a health farm environment in a day spa setting, promoting health, fitness and lifestyle.
