Article Abstract:
Details of the fifth-annual Aramark Culinary Excellence (ACE) Challenge in Toronto, Canada are presented. Aramark chefs assembled in Toronto to compete for gold and a spot on the team that will represent Canada at the North American finals in Chicago. Six finalists were chosen through a series of elimination rounds. The winners of the event are also presented.

The annual Prince Edward Island Shellfish Chef Challenge featured 14 professional chefs vying for the C$10,000 prize in a four-hour battle . P eter Dewar was declared the winner of the competition, one of the many culinary contests at the International Shellfish Festival. These other competitions, and Dewar's background, are also discussed.
