The director of David Coffer Lyons, feels that future of the UK pub property market seems to be bright and improving and prospects for the sector remain strong for both operators and landlords. Stock market indices indicate improved results across all segments, and with improved turnovers and profit margins, covenant strength of pub companies seem to improve.

Article Abstract:

The reasons for the closure of majority of the pubs located in the rural areas of Britain are discussed. Following the success of National Pubs Week by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) in February 2003, it will be an annual campaign, and CAMRA has plenty of ideas to be more successful and in turn reduce the pub closures in Britain.
