The UK market for juice bars is likely to expand although the extent of consumer demand for the product has yet to be established. Juice bars could be opened in various locations, such as health clubs. Juice should be marketed as a healthy alternative to coffee. Some juice bars have already opened in the UK, such as Crussh and Squeeze. The market for juice bars in the US is very buoyant and is valued at almost $3 billion. Some US operators are considering opening outlets in the UK.

Article Abstract:

An overview is presented of restaurants that were mentioned in "Leisure Management" magazine's 1998 review of the restaurant industry, and what has become of them in 2001. Yo!sushi is now a #10million business, the Capital Radio restaurants were sold because they were performing poorly, and the City Center restaurants have experienced major changes, with the OK Diners restaurants being closed down.
