Maglev trains (magnetically levitated), manufactured by TRANSRAPID INTERNATIONAL GmbH & Company KG, will be used in Shanghai, China for commercial train service. Several corridors in the United States are considering using maglev trains, which travel at 270 miles per hour, and the success of Shanghai?s train service may influence similar project within the United States.
