Vancouver-based Seaspan Container Lines (SCL) recently placed orders with Korea-based Samsung Heavy Industries - the foremost global leader in construction of container ships - for five 4,250, five 8,100 and eight 9,600 TEU ships to be delivered over the next three years. With the delivery of these ships, SCL will become a major container ship owner. Graham Porter, the director of SCL, explains the main features and roles of the new ships.

According to Austal ships, the Auto Express 126 will be the world's largest high-speed multi-hull ferry that will be built at the Western Australian Shipyard. Prospero finds magic in the pod
