Demand increases for floating production

Article Abstract:

The sharp increase in the number of offshore oil and gas exploration activities is expected to fuel the growth of companies involved in the construction of mobile production units (MPUs). Although MPUs account for only three percent of global offshore production, analysts believe that the demand for such equipment will continue to rise as oil and gas companies step up their production. They also forecast the same trend for floating storage units.
