De Beers Marine of Cape Town South Africa investigated the feasibility of converting the crawler-mining vessel named !Gariep into a vertical drill diamond mining ship. The conversion work was given to A&P Tyne Ltd, and work commenced on the critical path activity within a few weeks.

Crippled container ship beached off Devon

The container ship MSC Napoli, which was damaged by a severe storm and abandoned in sea following the rescue operations, has been beached near Devon coast.
