Queen Victoria, set for delivery in March 2005, is a sister ship to Carnival's Holland America Line's (HAL) Zuiderdam (The Motor Ship January 2003) and Oosterdam. Queen Victoria differs from the HAL ships as it will be all-diesel rather than the combined diesel and gas turbine (CODAG) propulsion plant, which allow the Hal ships to operate smoke-free.
