Alliance to construct new aircraft carriers

Article Abstract:

The Ministry of Defence, Thales UK and BAE Systems make up the tripartite alliance that will build new aircraft carriers. The two new carriers are valued at $4.3 billion and they belong to a future carrier program for the Royal Navy.

'Healy' really cuts it

Issues are presented concerning the specifications of the ice-breaker 'Healy' which is commissioned by the US Coast Guard. The vessel is compared with a similar ship named the 'Botnica'. Its electric propulsion system is discussed.
