Article Abstract:
All-terrain vehicles (ATV) driving is creating accident opportunities due to the lack of professional training and failure to use personal protective equipment. A survey exploring the behavioral patterns of the Indiana youths reveal that while 80% are either ATV passengers or operators, only 40% of the operators use helmets as safety equipment. Professional hands-on training are hardly utilized. Educating parents on the dangers of youths handling ATVs and effective safety training programs for the under-16 groups are essential. Professional instruction should be compulsory for ATV buyers.
