APTA task force undaunted by procurement challenges

Article Abstract:

To solve problems associated with the procurement processes, transit properties and supplier community have been advised to work together. The role played by American Public Transportation Association's (APTA) task force on procurement in bringing reform in the procurement process, especially by revising the curriculum of National Transit Institute (NTI), has been appreciated. The supplier community, along with the transit professionals has been suggested to utilize the facilities of National Transit Institute (NTI).

Let the good times roll

Article Abstract:

The future of the mass transportation in light of the revival of the economy is discussed. The general perception in the industry is that good times are returning. However, the federal government should make more investment in the transit programs.
