Stena orders P-max quartet

Article Abstract:

The Concordia Maritime of the Stena group is ready to introduce P-max vessels, which will be the first product carriers to be owned by Swedish ship owner Concordia. P-max vessels are the largest medium range (MR) tankers designed to carry fuel oil for North Atlantic and north European trades.

Issues concerning oil spill containment systems are discussed. In particular tests of the American Underpressure System developed by MH Systems for use with single hull tankers are examined.
