A high-speed gathering

Article Abstract:

The 15th East Ferry International Exhibition held in Boston, MS, on Feb 1999 gathered together the world's renowned fast ferry builders along with newcomers to the industry. Among the newcomers that caught the attention of long-time participants to the event was Catamaran Ferries International (CFI) of Canada. CFI's PacifiCat, a 122 meter catamaran, was well received during its launch. De Poli Shipyard also debuted in the fast ferry category with its 'Isola di Stromboli'. The shipyard has made a name in the construction of chemical tankers and conventional ferries.

Article Abstract:

Europort '97 slated November 18-22, 1997 at Amsterdam will highlight twenty first century developments in the shipbuilding industry. Award-winning exhibits are expected to grace the four-day international maritime exhibition and conference. Among which are the IHC Holland's Beaver 5014C dredger and Van Gelder Compagnie's Multi-line and Uni-line generator protection and control units.
