Yoga's healing power

Article Abstract:

In a research done at University of California, Los Angeles, School of Medicine, 21 people 60 years old and above, having aching back did yoga twice a week, resulting in reduction of their curvatures by 6 percent, increased their walking speed by 8 percent. The yogic postures like standing mountain, triangle, and warrior gives great relief to patients suffering from backaches.

Four out of five Americans will experience lower back pain at some time during their lives. The back support belt is one device that may help. Although effectiveness tests vary, the belts are supposed to boost the intra-abdominal pressure, thereby reducing lower back stress.
