Wanderers in search of the albatross

Article Abstract:

A sailing voyage in Wanderer III, to South Georgia to explore the homeland of the birds 'Albatross Island' is presented. The Island derived its name from the Albatross birds that were born there and remained at sea for five to seven years before returning.

Cruisers of the Bahamas have become accustomed to listening to Patty and her staff who take turns leading the daily VHF net. Patty, through her radio show, gives them news about the weather, local movies and boating events.

Bainbridge Island has hidden anchorages that await the sailors at the heads of mossy inlets. On the island's east side, both Eagle harbor and Blakely harbor have muddy bottoms with ample shore access.
