Six of golf's major golf-course designers in the US have many projects underway throughout the world, with many of them set to open in 1996 or 1997. Among those elite designers, Jack Nicklaus and his Golden Bear International have over 40 course designs under construction worldwide.

No one-course town

Article Abstract:

Jacksonville, FL is best know for the Stadium Course at Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass, but there are almost 40 other golf courses in the area. Sawgrass Country Club and the Oakbridge Golf Club are two excellent courses. The famous Stadium course is also described.

Article Abstract:

Golfers who travel to the Monterey Peninsula can play at the famed Pebble Beach course as well as at Spyglass Hill, Spanish Bay and Poppy Hills. Other good courses in the area include the Del Monte Golf Course and those at Carmel Valley Ranch and Quail Lodge.
