Record numbers of women in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s are becoming involved in sports for the first time throughout the US. The women are adopting sports such as rowing and racewalking. Sixty-one year old Joan Berman routinely beats women twice as young as she is in races.

Can meat eaters turn green?

Article Abstract:

An alternivore is a vegetarian who has not eliminated all meat from the diet. This abstinence from meat is done purely for health reasons. Vegetarians are usually healthier than their carnivorous counterparts since plant foods are rich in antioxidants and phytochemicals.
