Many pros dislike the customary Wednesday pro-am round because of several common mistakes amateurs always make. Amateurs can assure a good time: by hiring a tour caddy; speeding play by always being ready to hit, and by freely quitting on lost holes; and by turning off the cellular phone.

Queasy Ryder

Article Abstract:

A first-time Ryder Cup player was overwhelmed by the huge media reception and had a severe case of nerves while playing. He wrote a humorous poem as an ode to the Ryder Cup describing the pressure and other difficulties it presents to players.
