A sailor describes his sail course from the Galapagos to Easter Island on his speedboat 34-foot Romanee sloop. He finally reached the extreme southeastern corner of French Polynesia and the Iles Gambier, where he could trace the history of 19th century missionaries and the French nuclear program.
