Canada's Georgian Bay boasts of islands, harbors, inlets and coves that attract sailors year after year. The sailors get to know other visitors while cruising onboard their 21-foot trailerable Sirius. The sailors' favorite place is Flowerpot, located four miles to the northeast.

A six-month Mediterranean cruise included several unexpected stopovers for repairs. When a transmission shift lever cotter pin breaks, the author is amazed to watch a hardware store owner fabricate one on his anvil, for a total charge of two cents.
