Boating news coming from the northeastern US is headlined by the coming back of yachts and yachting services in the Boston Harbor. The Larchmont Junior Race Week was also opened to the US Sailing Junior Olympic Path program in Larchmont, N.Y. and Gus Miller's Waterwise program received extensive promotions.

Several developments concerning boats and boating in the Northeast as of Apr 1998 are presented. Don and Ruth DaCosta have decided to celebrate a party aboard their Vista motoryacht named 'Beacon Hill.' Moreover, a Web site on boating, fishing and water sports was launched by Jennifer Kano.

Boat news in southeastern US is headlined by Don Mason's first fuel economy record across the Gulf Stream. Sean Doyle of St. Petersburg, Fla. also won the Tamatsukuri Intl Junior Regatta in Japan, while Morgan Reeser of Wilton Manors, Fla. topped the 1997 US Sailing Team.
