NCAA amnesty: a solution to the player/agent problem

There are scandals every season involving college football players signing with agents before the end of their college playing eligibilities. It might help if the NCAA would set up a short amnesty period before the season, during which time players could admit the violations without being punished.

Free agency in the NFL may mean that teams will have to spend more on legal problems, as well as salaries. For example, one of the most complex new rules states that the final four playoff teams cannot sign a free agent, unless they lose one of comparable value.
