Mooring with the current from astern

Article Abstract:

Docking a boat to a pier with a current from behind is quite difficult. One must check the direction of the current and estimate the speed which requires some practice. One should head towards a point on the pier which is upstream of the docking spot.

Issues are presented concerning the importance of displaying the correct navigation lights on yachts at night. The correct alignment, intensity, location and maintenance of lights is discussed.
