Good vibrations from the NARC

Article Abstract:

A sailor took part in the 2002 North Atlantic Rally to the Caribbean (NARC) before doing some sailing with the offshore passage opportunities (OPO) members. He narrates his experience with a group of sailors who sailed aboard Swan 48, Hinano, in New Port, Rhode Island with their common seagoing experiences creating a bond for the rest of their lives.

On a Sailboat: Whale study at Allison wonderland

Article Abstract:

The Spencer 51 Fedel Free was used to do some research for the coastal ecosystem research foundation (CERF) at Allison Harbor base. Quite often the crew had the company of whales that seldom moved faster than three knots while feeding.

The Cola-to-Cola run

Article Abstract:

Sailing between Pensacola and Apalachicola in Florida or Cola to Cola was very ambitious. The adventure aboard Destiny was memorable when the sailors explored the waters of Big Lagoon and Perdido Key, near the Alabama border.
