GPS & charts: danger ahead?

Article Abstract:

Global Positioning Systems and navigational charts are prone to error and may cause sailors to misjudge their positions. To avoid such pitfalls, sailors should recognize the limitations of charting systems and always refer to the datum note or coordinate shifts of the charts they are using.
