Athletic shoe makers are beginning to create running shoes that are tailored to the needs of women. Shoes for women should provide adequate motion control, as women tend to excessively pronate more than men. Shoe width should be narrower for women.

Article Abstract:

Ice packs are a drug-free way to reduce the inflammation of sprains, ligament tears and other running injuries. The ice should be applied as soon as possible after the injury occurs. Ice can also help chronic problems, such as tendinitis.
